Mr and Mrs Tomlin | The Swan Inn Wedding

The Swan Inn

The Swan Inn hosted the reception of a beautiful wedding earlier this month! On 15th January, Sharon and Magnus became Mr & Mrs Tomlin. Sharon began the morning the only way a bride should… with Prosecco! Actually, for those of you eagle eyed viewers, you probably would have noticed the Red Bull can on the dresser. Gotta keep your energy up somehow!

The bridesmaid’s had the prettiest pastel rose bouquets and the boutonnieres were complimenting in their matching cream colouring. And the bride’s heart shaped bouquet was just the right amount of subtle and adorable!

Sharon and the bridal party enjoyed some pampering and when their hair and makeup was complete, it was time to don their dresses. The bridesmaid’s all stood in matching dark grey floor length gowns – those kinds that you can tie in 8 different ways, so they perfectly suit each woman! Sharon wore classic white, her dress was a fit and flare style with a beautiful train and veil.

Over at the church, Magnus, friends and family all eagerly awaited the arrival of the beautiful bride. She did not disappoint and even braved the brisk weather whilst her bridal party and the groomsmen lead the way in their faux fur jackets. Sharon looked stunning as she entered the chuch, all smiles, ready to see Magnus for the first time on their wedding day!

The service was beautiful, the certificate was signed and just about everyone in the room got teary eyed. It was time to head out for a drive to the reception venue – The Swan Inn.

Photo opportunities were well underway once all the guests had arrived. The newlyweds posed for plenty of pictures with friends and family. Even the weather was kind to them for the occasion!

The Swan Inn was a lovely location for the new Mr & Mrs Tomlin’s reception and they made use of the intimate space well. There was a candy cart, a dance floor and even a huge profiterole tower!!

The speeches were heartfelt and emotional, the magician was a perfect entertainer too.

Cake cutting is always an important first on a wedding day and Sharon & Magnus weren’t missing out! But with their own little twist on it, there wasn’t a knife in sight. Yes, that is a wonderfully crafted 3 tier wedding cake being cut, with a trowel. Perfectly unique! And the intricately decorated accompanying floral cupcakes were just too beautiful for words!

Finally, it was time for the dance floor. Sharon and Magnus stepped out for their first dance. Their friends and family crowded round to celebrate the occasion.

Thanks to Sharon & Magnus for making our job really easy because it is clear you two are made for each other! Congratulations!

Mr & Mrs Hart | Alfriston Winter Wedding

Alfriston Winter Wedding

Adam and Kerry’s special day was further out than we’ve ever travelled before so we were thrilled to film an Alfriston winter wedding. And not only a winter wedding, a christmas one! The venue was stunning, all decked out with christmas trees and log wood fires.

The preparations began with champagne and hair curlers for the ladies, and cravat tying for the fellas!

Finally it was time for Kerry to see her husband to be at the alter. The ceremony was held at the Church of St Andrew and many friends and family witnessed the lovely wedding. As well as – of course – throw heaps of confetti in the chilly winter sunshine after!

Everyone headed to the reception in a quaint little venue full of christmas cheer. There were wreaths and christmas trees, candles and gingerbread men and a lot of baubles! The speeches sparkled as much as the room and champagne flowed as everyone toasted to the new bride and groom.

There was a second receiving line at the reception, although this one was a little different with guests opting for sparklers rather than confetti!

The couple were also big fans of Bhangra so the evening’s entertainment included a traditional Bhangra dancers which was awesome to watch! Luckily for Kerry, she could also get up and get moving. She’d already put on her dancing shoes – specifically a pair or personalised wedding sneakers!

Thanks to the new Mr & Mrs Hart for having us, we really had a great time and this was a wonderful close to our year! We look forward to everything 2015 has to bring as well!
