Mr & Mrs Hammersley | Barn Wedding

On the 18th November, the Forget Me Knot team headed to Warwickshire to film the union of the soon-to-be Mr and Mrs Hammersley. Their wedding story begins at the Hilton Hotel in Warwick where the bride and her entourage were getting ready.

Chloe began her day with hair and make-up. Sitting in her bridal dressing gown, smoky eye shadow was applied and her hair put in curlers, ready for the up-do that would be part of her final outfit. Rosy cheeks and rouge lips provided the look with a touch of warmth – the perfect accompaniment for late autumn nuptials! After hair and make up, it was time to travel to the wedding venue for the all important part – putting on the wedding gown!

Elsewhere, at the Swallows Nest Barn in Warwick, groom Ben was visibly nervous. Luckily, he had his groomsmen to take care of him. After having his thistle boutonniere affixed, Ben took some time to go through the photo album given to him by his wife-to-be. The album detailed the dearest moments of their relationship so far.

Guests started to arrive and take their seats. Ben stood at the end of the aisle, waiting tentatively for that big and very special moment. Next followed easily one of the cutest moments we’ve ever witnessed. Their adorable son, Jack, made a unique entrance down the aisle: in a cart! It was decorated to match the rustic feel of the wedding and couldn’t have possibly been more heartwarming.

Every head turned as the bride and her father walked towards the groom. In the sun, every bit of detail in the lace on the dress was visible, and the embellishments that graced the skirt made for a very elegant gown. All aspects of her bridal attire gave Chloe the look of a vintage pin-up model.

Newlyweds Mr and Mrs Hammersley left the ceremony venue under a shower of confetti, both glowing with excitement for what was still to come. In another spectacular wedding entertainment display: we got to witness some incredible falconry! That will certainly give all the wedding attendees great memories for years to come. The activity was an ideal suitor for the ceremony’s rural setting as well, and made the most of the season. After the ceremony, Ben and Chloe enjoyed a quiet moment on a romantic walk before heading back.

Drinks flowed and photos were snapped at the reception. The barn’s decor really completed the wedding’s rustic woodland theme. The room was filled with tables and chairs which were all very quickly filled by the guests taking their seats for the wedding breakfast. Of course, no wedding would be complete without the addition of speeches. Ben and Chloe’s friends and family didn’t let them down!

By now, people had eaten and everyone was looking to party! Now it was time for the first dance. But not before the cake cutting. This had been decorated to show the stages of Ben and Chloe’s love right up to this moment.

And so, to celebrate with a beautiful tradition, Mr & Mrs Hammersley took to the floor for a spin or two. As night drew in, the band started playing and all in attendance took to the dance floor.

A huge thank you goes out to Ben and Chloe (and of course, little Jack) for letting us be part of their big day. We hope you love this as much as we do!
