A beautiful wedding was held at Quorn County Hotel on the 20th August 2016. By the end of the day, Emma and Andrew would officially be Mr & Mrs Ward!
With the ceremony and reception being held in the hotel, the preparations began in one of the venue’s rooms for our lovely bride. Her and the bridal party spend the morning with a hair and makeup team getting ready. Of course, there was plenty of bubbly too, and the bridesmaids were all enjoying the morning of Emma’s wedding.
Emma also had gifts for her bridesmaids and they all donned the beautiful bracelets for the day. Not to be left out, Emma also received some lovely gifts, including a personalised champagne glass!
One amusing part of the day was the excitement and nerves of the bridal party every time a car pulled up! It has to be said that they did a great job of making sure the Andrew didn’t get a peek of the bride before!
Emma looked stunning in her wedding dress. It was a gorgeous white gown with a sweetheart neckline and lace detailing over the shoulders. Her bridesmaids’ dresses were all matching pink numbers, also with lace and flower applique.
With the ceremony drawing closer but not quite here, there was one man in Emma’s life who was allowed to see her before. And what a beautiful moment it was, when Emma’s father saw his little girl in her dress! Hugs and gifts exchanged, it was time!
Andrew and his entourage all looked dapper in their grey suits with flower boutonnieres. The pink cravats and pocket squares matched perfectly to the bridesmaid dresses. Overall, the colours were great for a summer wedding, even if the weather was a little bleak!
The ceremony room filled with guests – friends and family all gathered to celebrate the love of Emma & Andrew. Emma and her father walked down an emotional aisle! Guests were tearing up on either side, but none more so than the bride herself. The couple were clearly over the moon to see one another.
Vows exchanged, rings given and certificate signed – that was it! They are married!
Confetti, clapping, cheering, you name it – it happened! Even the rain stopped for long enough for the photos and for the couple to have a quiet stroll together through the grounds.
By now, we imagine everyone was getting quite hungry, so it’s just as well it was reception time! The first meal as a married couple was in a beautifully decorated room, perfectly complementing the colour scheme. And the speeches! Emma was just too cute when offering to stand with Andrew as he made his speech! Emotional, adorable and all the reasons why you can tell they love each other dearly!
A three tier, rose decorated cake sat waiting for the happy couple. When the time came, they opted for a slightly unconventional sword to cut the cake!
The reception was lively as the evening went on, with dancing, crazy props and a photo-booth. All that was left for Mr & Mrs Ward was to embark on their first dance as husband and wife!
The giant heart shaped brolly needs a shout out too! Great unique touch to the day, and well needed as it happened! Its the little things!
Enjoy the video everybody. Huge congratulations to the cutest couple on your stunning wedding, we wish you all the happiness in the world!
