Mr & Mrs Cooke | Kirby Castle Wedding

Kirby Castle

Kirby Castle Hotel was the latest venue for a wedding we attended. This was a special one for us, as Tara and Sean booked us for our very first official dual package with Hazel Skye Photography. We were at the wedding to film and photograph the entire day for the couple.

Tara spent the morning with her gorgeous little girl and her bridal party getting ready for the big day.  She helped with hair and makeup before getting her own done too, armed with prosecco! Little Lexi (Tara’s daughter) received a cute card from her mom and dad, thanking her for being the flower girl at their wedding.

There was a quick chance to catch the lads preparing just as much as the women. And soon enough it was ceremony time! With all their family and friends present to witness, the ceremony went off without a hitch and just like that – Tara and Sean were hitched!!

The party took a very short trip over the moat and we got some lovely photos of the newlyweds. Despite the rain, everyone seemed to have a lovely time, exploring the grounds when the weather dried up a little!

Mr & Mrs Cooke’s guests seemed to have a great time and the children especially had boundless energy as they ran around the grounds!

Kirby Castle Hotel had been transformed once they returned to enjoy the wedding breakfast and everyone tucked into food as well as listening to the brilliant speeches.

With the nerve-wracking bit over and done, all that was left to do was enjoy a first dance as newlyweds! Also, can’t forget the cake cutting, which was a delicious looking 3 tier sponge cake with fresh fruit and flowers!

We can’t thank Tara and Sean enough for having us at their wedding! Hopefully you’re as pleased as we are with how the photos and highlight video have turned out. We are really excited to have done our first dual package! We’re sure they’ll be many more to come!

Mr & Mrs Barwell | Rearsby Church Wedding

Rearsby Church

For our latest venture we were at a gorgeous Rearsby Church wedding for the lovely Stephanie and Michael. The couple tied the knot on the 25th June and we were there to capture it all!

The morning was very busy and the house was packed full of Stephanie, her family and bridal party preparing for the day. Hairspray, nail polish and brushes covered every surface as they got glamorous for the special occasion. The blushing bride now had to get laced up into her bejewelled, lace gown. Her father couldn’t have looked prouder as they got in the vintage car to head to Rearsby Church.

Meanwhile Michael and his groomsmen spent the morning suiting up as well. They also looked dapper in their blue suits as they piled into the white Lincoln town car to take them to the ceremony.

The church was decorated beautifully with subtle bows to compliment the pink and white colour scheme for the wedding. The ceremony was beautifully, with a lot of laughs and even some tears from friends and family. After they officially became husband and wife, it was time to head out into the amazing sunshine. This could also easily be the most wedding confetti we’ve ever seen!

Another unique touch we haven’t come across before was the ice cream! And what a day for it, the guests couldn’t have loved it more, especially the kids!

Barn at Manor Farm in Leicestershire was the reception location. The venue hosted a rustic farm themed affair, with hessian chair decorations and table covers as well as jam jars with miniature gypsophila bouquets and fairy lights to boot.

Instead of a sit down wedding breakfast, the Barwells had opted for a hog roast and BBQ. The speeches went down great and the wedding cake was cut soon after (and Michael too, almost!). Stephanie clearly wasn’t letting any wedding stress get to her. She even managed to have a splash around in her wellies.

Finally, the last little bit to celebrate becoming husband and wife was the first dance as newlyweds. Stephanie and Michael could not have looked happier as they twirled on the floor!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the happy couple for having us. We really enjoyed the day and loved all the unique things that made the day perfectly ‘you’.

Mr & Mrs Rose | Kilworth House Wedding

Kilworth House

Kilworth House played host to an absolutely stunning wedding on May 16th this spring. We were lucky enough to spend the whole day capturing the marriage on film for Jessica and Chris.

This was definitely one of the most emotional weddings we’ve ever attended and the action morning began with hair and make up preparations for Jess, her little girl Sienna and the rest of the bridal party. Jess had also written a beautiful note for her father whilst the hair and make up was underway.

As there were two of us videoing, we managed to be with Chris too during the morning. The bride and groom had also written letters for each other to ready whilst getting ready, which was incredibly emotional all round!

Chris and his groomsmen got to enjoy a glass or two of liquid courage whilst the sun shone down. We were particularly excited to use our drone to record some wedding footage for the first time! It was a great chance to get some unique shots for their special day.

As the ceremony drew closer and guests began to arrive, it was apparent that nerves were on the increase! Jess had the final touches put to her hair and makeup. Her wedding gown was stunning, with sparkling crystal detailing over the lace, which was perfectly matching her veil and jewellery.

The bridesmaids and her daughter went ahead and the rest of the guests filled up The Orangery. Now, with Chris at the alter, there was only a short time to wait. Even the registrar helped calm nerves from the groom, with some advise to help holding back the tears!

Jess began the descent of the stairs with her father before joining her guests and husband to be for the ceremony.  The love in the room was so clear and the guests erupted with applause once the ceremony was complete! The marriage certificate was signed and Sienna joined Mr & Mrs Rose for their first “official” family cuddles!

The party moved outside to mingle and have drinks while the room changed for the wedding breakfast. Everyone enjoyed spending some of the lovely day out in the sunshine!

Speeches were full of laughter and memories, the new happy couple enjoyed the wedding breakfast with the rest of their guests too.

As is to be expected at wedding receptions, alcohol usually has a strong presence. This wedding was no exception. We’re sure Chris wasn’t entirely expecting every part of the day to go as it did! There was a bit of a bet put in place that meant the groom got a little bit richer…and a little bit soggier! We’ll update you here soon if the happy couple don’t mind sharing the moment with you all!

As the sun set on Kilworth House, the party began with the all important first dance for the newlywed Mr & Mrs Rose. Jess also shared a lovely dance with her father before the rest of the guests got to enjoying the music for the whole night through!

Thanks so much to Chris and Jess. We loved being able to film at this location and capture all these memories on film for you.

Wishing you all the love and luck in the world, you are a truly perfect couple!

Enjoy our highlight film of Mr & Mrs Rose’s wedding.
