Mr and Mrs Sirovica | Serbian Orthodox Wedding

Serbian Orthodox

There is so much to say about this amazing Serbian Orthodox wedding!

Daniella and Dimitrije are just a match made in heaven! Our morning began with wedding prep, Daniella had a lovely few hours of getting make up and hair done. She also had family and the bridal party with her while she opened her wedding gifts.

The Serbian traditions were amazing to witness and the way the proceedings went was very different to the weddings we are used to.

For example, we are used to seeing the guests gather at the ceremony venue and wait for the bride there. The family and friends at this wedding all went to the grooms house at first. Pre-ceremony shots and traditional music were on the cards for the groom as he chatted with family and guests. After that the procession made their way to the bride’s house.

There is also an old practice in which the “Buying of the Bride” takes place. Now, this is only done for fun these days, to calm the nerves we suppose! So the groom ‘buys’ the bride from her brother. We love that the tradition and culture is kept alive!

Dmitrije waited patiently outside with the guests as his bride was bought outside to him! It was lovely to have a bride and groom see each other before the ceremony, it’s so rare we get to see that!

Then it was time for the ceremony at the Serbian Orthodox Church in Leicester’s cultural quarter. It was beautiful and incredibly traditional – with the joining of the right hands, the crowns and a lot of singing.

Mr & Mrs Sirovica left the church in a stunning open top classic car and headed to their reception, where a cake and plenty of dancing awaited!

Congratulations to the happy couple, thank you so much for having us. It was a pleasure to capture your unique day on film. We hope you have a long, happy life together as husband and wife!

Mr & Mrs Jackson | Hothorpe Hall Wedding

Hothorpe Hall

Mr & Mrs Jackson’s Hothorpe Hall wedding was one of the most beautiful days we’ve had the chance to film. Hothorpe is a dream location for any occasion! Frankie and her bridal party began the day with sipping Bellini while getting hair and make up.

Jamie arrived to the venue in an awesome bright white Range Rover. He and the groomsmen all looked as dapper while they spent some time mingling with friends and family before the ceremony.

Frankie was the picture of beauty and elegance as she descended the staircase to her father, ready to head down the aisle.

The Terrace room at Hothorpe Hall had beautiful decor to compliment the colour scheme. Friends and family all shared laughter and tears throughout the ceremony. Frankie and Jamie took their first walk (confetti included) as husband and wife afterwards.

With the weather holding strong, the guests all spent time sharing congratulations and taking photos with the brand new Mr & Mrs!

Speeches always have an unexpected element to them and its difficult to know what’s coming. The Jackson’s wedding was no exception, with even a horse head making an appearance!

The evening wouldn’t have be complete without a little dancing to. Frankie had a lovely dance with her father, who could not have looked prouder of his little girl!

And lastly, the first dance! You’ll see in the highlight that there was a beautiful photo of Jamie’s parents at their own wedding that inspired the first dance a little. Tissues at the ready, we can guarantee this is an emotional one!!

Congratulations to Frankie and Jamie – The new Mr & Mrs Jackson. You’re wedding was as beautiful as you two! We wish you all the happiness in the world for the present and for the future.

Mr & Mrs Sharpe | Normanton Church Wedding

Normanton Church

Normanton Church at Rutland Water was the latest location for a beautiful wedding. Our lovely couple was Mel and Tim. Or Mr & Mrs Sharpe as they are now known! As wedding season is drawing to a close we love to make the most of the days we film and this location was a treat to be at.

The first guests began arriving and we managed to film a nervous looking groom taking a moment before the ceremony. The groomsmen were all in blue suits with salmon ties and pocket hankies, and gorgeous peach rose corsages. The bridesmaids were perfectly matched in their diamante detailed maxi dresses. The bouquets all matched, even the flower girl’s headband!

The ceremony took place at the Far End of the Church so Mel got to enjoy the long walk down the aisle! Naturally it was an emotional one for everyone in the room, but all the tears were happy ones!

The new Mr & Mrs Sharpe opted for more bubbles than confetti too! All the friends and family enjoyed some time together outside taking photos and mingling. The groom and his best man enjoyed a cigar or two while the ladies sipped their wine and enjoyed the day.

Speeches were equally heartwarming and hilarious. The cake was a stunning 4 tier fairytale inspired work of art. There was a Disney castle silhouette and the words everyone wants to hear on their wedding day – “and they lived happily ever after”!

To Mr & Mrs Sharpe – we truly hope you do!
