Mr & Mrs Woods tied the knot at St Andrew’s Church in Aylestone. From the get go it was clear that this couple had a strong passion for Leicester City football club.
The morning was full of so much getting ready! On Sarah’s side, she was preparing with 3 bridesmaids, a maid of honour and 2 flower girls! Chris wasn’t to be lonely though, he was accompanied by 4 ushers, 2 best men and a page boy. The bridal party and groomsmen all travelled to the church in style – specifically a 16-seat Hummer!
Sarah’s foster father gave her away at the family church and both her foster mum and the groom’s mum did beautiful readings.
After the ceremony, it was time for everyone to get to the reception venue at Whetstone Gorse Barn. There was a bus provided (albeit the wrong one!) and the guests all got fairly merry en route! The brand new Mr & Mrs Woods weren’t to be outdone though – their transport from church to reception was a white horse drawn carriage!
At the wedding breakfast, the LCFC theme was prominent in all the little details as well as more obvious ones. The centre pieces were created by a family friend, in the signature blue and white colours. Table plans, seating cards, candy cart and venue decor all matched perfectly!
Gorse Barn was an idyllic location, with space for a bouncy castle for the kids (and for Sarah!). The speeches were wonderful and of course we had to steal away the bride and groom for some respite before their first dance! Sarah managed to get herself a father daughter dance too.
The guests and family danced (and bounced) the night away as Chris and Sarah both spent their first evening as a married couple!
We were so pleased to be able to capture the wedding on film for The Woods, and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
